Founded in 2006, the Swiss Symphonic Metal band Deep Sun has become one of the most exciting acts to emerge from the country’s metal scene in recent years. Early successes with their albums «Flight of the Phoenix» (2013) and «Race Against» (2016) paved the way for their breakthrough in 2019 with «Das Erbe der Welt». Featuring a variety of powerful Symphonic Metal anthems and the epic 15-minute track «The Raven», the album reached an impressive #11 on the Swiss charts, establishing the band as a force to be reckoned with.

Deep Sun continued their ascent with «Dreamland – Behind the Shades» in 2022. The band’s collaboration with renowned producer Frank Pitters (known for his work with Vision of Atlantis) brought a modern and fresh sound to the album, which resonated with fans and critics alike. The album soared to an extraordinary #4 on the Swiss album charts – a remarkable feat for a Symphonic Metal band. This milestone marked a period of transformation and self-discovery for Deep Sun, solidifying their identity as artists.

Now, Deep Sun enters their next chapter with the release of their new album, «Storyteller». Packed with deeper, more epic, and mesmerizing tales inspired by dark secrets, shining stars, and the vast wonders of life, the album captivates its audience from start to finish. With the powerful and classically trained voice of Debora Lavagnolo and the majestic keyboard melodies of Tom Hiebaum, Deep Sun delivers stories that leave a lasting impression. Bolstered by the dynamic rhythm section of bassist Angelo Salerno, drummer Tobias Brutschi, and the masterful guitar work of newcomer Erik Dummermuth, the band reaches new heights.

In November 2023, Deep Sun released the heartfelt single «Eternal Love», a touching homage to love and a way to thank their loyal fans for their unwavering support and unforgettable moments together.
